Tiraspol, February 17. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. President Vadim Krasnoselsky proposes to grant transport organizations performing passengers and luggage transfer the right to pay tax on vehicle owners until December 31, 2021. This year they will be able to undergo a technical inspection without presenting a receipt for the payment of this tax.
It is proposed to amend the PMR Law "On measures of state support in connection with the introduction of a state of emergency and (or) restrictive measures (quarantine) aimed at preventing the spread of coronavirus infection caused by a new type of COVID-19 virus in 2020 and 2021".
As noted in the commentary to the bill, the initiative was developed to provide state support to organizations of public road transport in connection with the spread of coronavirus infection in the territory of the PMR.
The legislation stipulates that registered vehicles of organizations or passenger vehicles owned by individuals (buses, trolleybuses, cars and trucks equipped for the systematic transfer of passengers and luggage) and specialized vehicles for the transport of hazardous cargoes are subject to technical inspection twice a year.
Thus, some organizations must undergo technical inspection in the first half of 2021 providing a receipt for the payment of tax on vehicle owners. However, due to the sharp drop in passenger traffic in 2020 (up to 42% of the indicators for 2019) associated with the introduction of restrictive measures, this payment at the beginning of the year increases the negative economic consequences caused by the pandemic for motor transport organizations, the commentary notes.
