Tiraspol, May 14. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. According to the PMR travel agency website, foreign citizens, arriving in Pridnestrovie for tourism are admitted out of turn at checkpoints across the PMR state border. Corresponding supplementations were made in April of this year to the PMR President Decree of “On the regime’s establishment at checkpoints across the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic state border.” Such measure was implemented within the framework of the state special-purpose programme “The tourism supporting and development in the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic” for the period from 2019 to 2026.
The PMR Ministry of State Security explained the mechanism for crossing border out of turn for organized tourists’ groups.
The tourist agency application should include the following information:
- The checkpoint’s entitlement across the PMR state border, through which it’s planned to enter the PMR territory;
- a date as well as estimated arrival time at the checkpoint across the PMR state border;
- information on the carrier vehicle as well as its owner, including an information about the person (if any), under whose leadership a carrier vehicle will be (the surname, first name and patronymic), in accordance with the valid identification document data, intended for using abroad;
- the proposed place as well as time of stay on the PMR territory;
- contact details with the surname, first name patronymic of an organization’s representative (if any), who is performing a tour operator as well as travel agency’s activities, including an organization, providing guided tour services (for a foreign citizen – in accordance with the valid identification document’s data, which is intended for using abroad, but for Pridnestrovian citizens in accordance with the valid identification document’s data), a birth date, details of the identity document.
A tourists group should be consisted of at least 10 people (including the tourist organization’s representatives as well as the driver). Departure from the PMR should be carried out in the same group as when entering, with the exception of unforeseen cases.
“Such measure will allow foreign tourists, arriving in Pridnestrovie to cross the PMR border in an expedited basis, which will definitely contribute to the tourist traffic’s increasing,” Yegor Artyukhov, the Deputy Director of the PMR Tourism Agency.

Until June 1, you can cross the Pridnestrovian border without the Operation Headquarters permission or PCR tests.
