Most of the republic's enterprises that are not classified as essential have suspended operations today. Production processes are energy-intensive. The population is now a priority. Equipment can only be started at night, when household appliances are used in minimal quantities. Organizations that have alternative energy sources did not have to pause production. The meat and dairy plant of Parkany is operating in standard mode. More than four hundred employees are on duty, including thanks to the presence of an electric steam generator. It was purchased a year ago. The equipment generates 300 kg of steam per hour, the President was told today when he visited the enterprise. It was noted at the same time, that all indicators – production, sales, revenue of the Blagoda branded retail chain – are lower this month than at the end of last year. The impact of the energy crisis is taking its toll. Deliveries under state orders to schools and kindergartens, closed due to the lack of heating, have been suspended. Buyers are also saving – buying less dairy and meat products. There is no sense of depression among the plant’s employees. They are building an ice cream production facility and are preparing to expand the range by including soft and processed cheeses. The holding’s livestock complex is also functioning. Its infrastructure is subject to rolling blackouts, but fuel generators are started, ensuring an uninterrupted technological process in the absence of power.
