The first deputy chairman of the Russian State Duma International Affairs Committee Dmitry Novikov qualified the decision of the Moldovan government to declare the deputy PM Dmitry Rogozin persona non grata as strange and ill-considered, RIA Novosti reports.
«Rogozin is an official, he represents the Russian power, the Government of the Russian Federation. Such decisions look strange. Probably, some representatives of the Moldovan political set are driven mad by an example of their masterminds from Washington who violate generally accepted rules of international relations," Novikov told.
«I see no reason for such decision to be made against Rogozin. And it is hardly possible to consider it balanced virtually and technically," the MP noted.
According to him, such step can impact the attitude of Russia towards each several Moldovan politicians.
