The PMR President paid a working visit to the hospital today. The progress in updating the infrastructure of the Republican Clinical Hospital and the facilities of the Pridnestrovian Ministry of Healthcare in general was discussed during the working meeting. The PMR Government Chairman, the Minister of Healthcare, the head of the capital's state administration, the head of the Construction Department Construction, Architecture and Road Facilities, the chief physician of the Republican Clinical Hospital, and representatives of construction organizations were invited to the conversation on behalf of the President.
Vadim Krasnoselsky called the working conversation a synchronization of watches. He recalled the condition of the buildings and territory of the leading republican medical institution, which had not seen repairs for decades, and spoke about the need to review logistics in modern realities. It was noted in the course of the meeting that the Republican Clinical Hospital is currently the largest medical and preventive institution in the country, serving patients from all over the republic. The coverage is more than 150 thousand people. The hospital bed capacity of 16 departments makes 590 places. The staff consists of 1171 employees, including 257 doctors and 379 mid-level workers. Both the staff and those who seek medical care need normal conditions, Vadim Krasnoselsky emphasized.
The President outlined the difficult economic circumstances in which Pridnestrovie is currently located, emphasizing that the work started through the Capital Investment Fund at the Ministry of Healthcare facilities must be completed unconditionally and in a timely manner. In addition to several locations of the Republican Clinical Hospital, this list includes an ambulance station, Slobodzeya and Grigoriopol polyclinics, a surgical department of the Central District Hospital in Rybnitsa, a hospital in Kamenka.
The PMR President focused on plans to relocate the psychiatric department of the Republican Clinical Hospital in the future. This unit is located today in an emergency building that cannot be repaired. It will be demolished. Patients and staff will be transferred to a permanent place of stay in the building of the Slobodzeya hospital, which is currently temporarily occupied by the infectious diseases department of the Republican Clinical Hospital until the completion of repair work.
