Tiraspol, 24 May. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. As Novosti Pridnestrovya has already reported, following the 4th Investment Economic Forum, which took place last week, a cooperation agreement was signed between Pridnestrovie's Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) and its Moldo-Italian counterpart.
During the Vovremya. Itogi TV show on First Pridnestrovian, the president of the PMR's CCI, Yuri Ganin, reminded the audience that Italy was one of Pridnestrovie's leading European partner.
«7% of our exports go to Italy. This is rather a significant figure. For instance, Pridnestrovian exports to Russia amounts to 8%. We sell, first of all, light industry products to Italy. Pridnestrovie appreciates much these contacts as Italy is a light industry fashion leader and implements cutting-edge technologies. Cooperating with them is the enhancement of our technical level, the maintenance of the quality of our products at a high international level," noted Yury Ganin.
According to him, the agreement has been reached with the Moldo-Italian CCI to expand Italian presence in our country with the assistance of Pridnestroviam partners.
«This will help Italian businessmen to organise meetings and talks, get acquainted with our economy and laws. On the other hand, this will help to promote our goods in the Italian market. In particular, we have received an invitation to visit Milan's economic forum on 29 June. Among other things, Russian will be one of its working languages," said the CCI president.
The minister of economic development, Dmitry Boltrushko, recalled that Pridnestrovie generally exported garment and footwear products to Europe.
«This chiefly refers to tailoring as we offer high quality and compatible prices for this kind of service. Besides, we sell metal-roll and agricultural goods to the EU. The new mutually profitable regime we managed to agree about with the European Union indicates that Pridnestrovie remains both economically and politically in the zone of EU interests. On the whole, we are inclined to develop trading relations with any countries, any unions. We need to search for market outlets everywhere," underscored Dmitry Boltrushko.
