Bender, February 6. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The next meeting of the Joint Control Commission was held in Bender – in a planned format. The Joint Military Command of the Joint Peacekeeping Forces presented three reports on the situation in the Security Zone. Two of them – for January – had not been signed earlier, but the parties managed to reach a consensus and they were initialed and read out.
"Here we can say with complete confidence that the situation in the Security Zone remains stable and under control. No preparations for military action by the parties have been established at the present time," Oleg Belyakov, co-chairman of the Joint Control Commission from Pridnestrovie, commented to journalists.
In addition, the Moldovan side presented four officials who are to begin their work in the JCC as part of its delegation. Among them are representatives of the Information and Security Service and the Ministry of Defense of Moldova.
Their candidacies will be discussed in the Russian and Pridnestrovian delegations for now. And they will most likely be approved at the next meeting, exactly one week from now.
