According to RF President Vladimir Putin, the situation in Pridnestrovie with the energy resources supply is difficult, for many years, gas has been supplied by the Russian Federation there free of charge. 
“What about the social and economic situation, it’s tough there, including the energy resources supply. After all, we have been supplying gas there for many years, free of charge. But, recently, since gas is supplied through Moldova’s territory, some problems appear there, because Moldova has its complexities, and complexities are great, we can see this both in the economic and social spheres,” Vladimir Putin noted at a meeting with members of Council for Civic and Human Rights Development.
According to RIA Novosti news agency, the traditional meeting of the Russian Federation President with members of the Council for Civic and Human Rights Development is held annually on the eve of Human Rights Day, which is celebrated in Russia on December 10.
