Tiraspol, July 04 / Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Relations with Moldova within the negotiation process framework continue to stagnate, which has been observed for quite a long time. Foreign Minister Vitaly Ignatiev said this in an interview with the First Pridnestrovian TV channel.
“Unfortunately, Moldova demonstrates the most primitive approach, and they have been doing it all these years. There’s nothing new in Chisinau’s actions: how they torpedoed the dialogue, and they’re continuing to do this. How they break and renounce agreements. We have signed more than 200 documents over all these years in which we have been negotiating. Nothing has been implemented,” he explained.
At the same time, the Foreign Ministry head noted that this’s not the most difficult stage in negotiations and communication with the official Chisinau. However, the pressure only intensifies. At the same time, Moldovan officials no longer even consider it necessary to hide their intentions. But, on the contrary, make them more stringent and systemic.
“Today, they are no longer embarrassed to do this almost openly to us while attempting to strike at the banking and economic sector, blocking the medicines supply. At the moment, we’re holding cargo. These are food, in addition to medicines. Thus we’re trying to decide what is happening, and why they make all these delays for 3-4 days. Now it’s a heatwave. Goods are spoiling. What drives these people? I’m sure that this’s done by non-ordinary customs officers, who receive instructions from above and don’t even hesitate to talk about it,” Vitaly Ignatiev noted, emphasizing that not only approaches to the negotiation process but also Moldova’s political class as a whole have degraded.
