Tiraspol, March 24/ Novosti Pridnestrovya/. A meeting of Pridnestrovian and Moldovan political representatives Vitaly Ignatiev and Oleg Serebryan was held at the OSCE Mission office in Tiraspol.
According to the PMR Foreign Ministry press service, problems requiring prompt resolution in the parties' relationship were discussed. Particularly, those related to the Pridnestrovian cargo detention and some PMR industrial enterprises activities and issues related to the Berlin Plus package.
The issue of medicines import to Pridnestrovie through the Moldovan territory was touched upon. Taking into account the special situation, specific parameters of interaction were fixed to prevent interruptions in the medicines supply, including those that aren’t registered in the RM’s state register. Parties agreed to continue the dialogue and clarify the technical aspects at the specialized expert (working) groups level with the involvement of companies representatives importing pharmaceutical products.
Due to the non-constructive position of the Republic of Moldova, the long-term problem with the blanks import for license number plates of the Pridnestrovian sample, as well as handheld transceivers which were blocked at the Kuchurgan checkpoint since December of the previous year cannot be resolved. Vitaly Ignatiev urged to minimize any delays with the import of fuel, food, and equipment to Pridnestrovie.
The Moldovan Metallurgical Factory work issue was discussed. The Pridnestrovian side stressed the necessity of unjustifiable restrictions early lifting on the import of the raw material (scrap metal) for the enterprise necessity, noting full openness for cooperation in the ecology and environmental protection field.
In such context, the attitude of the Republic of Moldova to the convening of expert (working) groups meetings was noted. Despite invitations sent by the Pridnestrovian side, not a single meeting of profile specialists on customs cooperation, transport development, and the economy took place this year. Attention was focused on the necessity to intensify work at the experts’ level in these and other areas, including banking and law enforcement, and telecommunications.
The Pridnestrovian side urged the Republic of Moldova to promptly implement the previously signed agreements from the Berlin Plus package, including paragraph 5 of the Protocol Decision on land management issues in the Dubossary region regarding the termination of criminal cases against Pridnestrovian officials and entrepreneurs. It should be reminded, that Moldova’s delay in this paragraph implementation was one of the reasons that Pridnestrovie limited the validity of the agreement on the land management on plots with a total area of more than 5 200 hectares until June 30 of the current year.
