Tiraspol, September 14. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. In his telegram channel, the PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky commented on the meeting with a delegation of European diplomats in Bendery, headed by the special representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office Thomas Mayr-Harting.
“Thomas Mayr-Harting is an experienced negotiator with a focus on achieving practical results. The Pridnestrovian and European sides are united in striving to find a way out of even the most difficult situations. Such meetings are not held for the sake of small talk, but in order to jointly solve problems that seriously complicate the life of citizens,” the head of state wrote.
According to the President, the search for a compromise that would prevent the violation of the rights and freedoms of the inhabitants of the two republics is a long journey that needs to be undertaken.
“Today's discussion is another stage. New meetings are coming. We explain, convince, argue and expect to be heard. The negotiation process is a constant dialogue,” Vadim Krasnoselsky concluded.
One of the core issues of the meeting was the participation of cars with Pridnestrovian license plates in international transportation. European diplomats indicated that they were aimed at discussing working options for solving the problem. The Pridnestrovian side announced its proposals. The participants in the meeting expressed their readiness to conduct a dialogue until the agenda is exhausted.
Recall that from September 1 of this year, Ukraine has introduced a ban on movement on its territory for Pridnestrovian vehicles without neutral license plates. In mid-August, Novosti Pridnestrovya IA wrote in detail about the problems associated with the movement of Pridnestrovian vehicles, and about possible ways to solve them.
