Tiraspol, March, 14. / Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The President of the PMR Vadim Krasnoselsky met the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Grigory Karasin. In the Receptions House of the Russian Foreign Ministry, the Pridnestrovian side presented to the Russian colleagues the offer on strategic interaction between the states.
Participants of a meeting discussed the concrete directions of cooperation in political-diplomatic, social-humanitarian and economic spheres and also the prospects of activation of interdepartmental contacts. Besides, interlocutors mentioned possibilities of implementation of a number of joint projects and initiatives.
The Ambassador at Large of the MFA of the Russia Federation Sergey Gubarev, the Director of the Second Department of the CIS Countries Andrey Rudenko, the Foreign Minister of the PMR Vitaly Ignatiev participated in the meeting, Presidential Press Service reports.
Vadim Krasnoselsky and Grigory Karasin exchanged views on a wide range of topical issues. The emphasis is placed on the current situation in the negotiation process between Pridnestrovie and Moldova. The Head of the PMR emphasized the active role of Russia in the Moldo-Pridnestrovian dialogue which, according to him, has a beneficial effect on the course and dynamics of negotiations.
The President of the PMR expressed gratitude for the balanced approach of the MFA of Russia to a question of the settlement of the Moldo-Pridnestrovian conflict against the background of numerous speculation about its prospects and political formats. Vadim Krasnoselsky highly appreciated a consecutive position of the Russian side: all complex of the problematic issues in the relations of Pridnestrovie and Moldova needs to be solved by political and diplomatic methods proceeding from the interests of people and objective realities which developed in the negotiation process.
Vadim Krasnoselsky thanked Russia for system support of the population of Pridnestrovie and also ongoing efforts in the sphere of safety and peacekeeping activity. The parties agreed to develop interaction in all range of the directions which are of mutual interest.
