Vadim Krasnoselsky held a video conference

The President held a meeting with the heads of state authorities and administration. They worked in a video conference mode. The heads of state administrations reported on the state of affairs in the towns and districts of the republic. Each report included information on various events dedicated to the Great Victory Day – already held and planned for the current week. The leaders announced the celebration programs indicating the essence of the events, time of the event, and expected participants. Vadim Krasnoselsky emphasized that it is necessary to respond flexibly to weather conditions when implementing them. The President emphasized that the heads are obliged to personally supervise the preparation and participate in the celebrations. He asked about the readiness of memorial complexes and burial sites. It was noted that systematic work is being carried out in Pridnestrovie to maintain them in proper condition. The relevant state and municipal programs are in effect. The Memorial of Glory in the capital was repaired and expanded this year. The monument dedicated to three wars – the Great Patriotic War, the Afghan War and the Pridnestrovian War – was unveiled in Dnestrovsk in 2020. Work is being completed to update the memorial on Heroes' Square in Bendery. Stone panels are being installed there. The fourth one is currently being installed. The facility will be fully ready by the 9th of May. Thematic monuments in Victory Park of Bendery and in the park of the same name in the village of Giska were previously reconstructed. Memorial complexes located in Wittgenstein Park in Kamenka and on the territory of the city cemetery have been put in order. Restoration and repair work has been carried out for five years not only in the city, but also in the villages of Karmanovo, Butor, Gyrtop, Teya, Speya, Shipka in Grigoriopol district. Sculptural compositions, memorials, and mass graves in the Lunga microdistrict (Dubossary), in the villages of Tsybulevka, Doibany, Garmatskoe, Koikovo, Dubovo, and Krasny Vinogradar have been overhauled in Dubossary district. In addition, a large amount of work has been carried out on the Mound of Glory (Tiraspol-Dubossary highway). The largest Dubossary project in this area is the Memorial to the Victims of Fascism. Its global reconstruction is ongoing. Funds were allocated to update memorial sites in the villages of Mikhaylovka, Mokra, Plot, Butuchany, Broshtyany, Voronkovo, Garaba, Zhura, Krasnenkoye, and Andreyevka in Rybnitsa district. Residents of Slobodzeya have put in order two dozen monuments and memorials since 2020. The largest of them is the bridgehead of Kitskany. Vasily Tishchenko said that a large clean-up day was held there for the 80th anniversary of the Victory. The head of Slobodzeya district mentioned that the Summer Cinema season was opened for the May holidays. A large festival of Cossack culture was held at this site and the "Only Old Men Are Going to Battle" movie was shown the day before.

They talked about the construction of a state museum in the course of the meeting. The exhibition areas dedicated to the Great Patriotic War will be officially opened on the 9th of May. The PMR President plans to visit the site for another inspection today.
