IN 2018 ELEKTROMASH INCREASED ITS PRODUCTION VOLUME BY 25 PER CENT

Pridnestrovian plant supplies new series of engines to the Russian oil industry and nuclear power enterprises

Tiraspol, January, 23. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Production growing, new engine series production, strengthening of positions in the Russian market. About the results that Elektromash plant completed the year 2018 with and began 2019, said the general director of the company Vladimir Trandasir.

25 per cent More Products

In 2018, Elektromash plant increased its production by more than one quarter, and manufactured products amounting to more than 140 million PMR rubles. Vladimir Trandasir, General Director of NP CJSC Elektromash noted that the enterprise owes this success to the whole team, which “works for a common result”.

“In 2018, we released products with a total capacity of 220 thousand kilowatts - the highest figure in the last 10 years. This led to the growth of indicators such as labor productivity - by 18 per cent. Wages increased by 20 per cent, and we plan to keep this dynamic in the following years” - Trandasir noted.

In order to continue to successfully compete in the market of the Customs Union, where products of the plant are mainly supplied, Electromash CJSC seeks to develop and offer its customers new series of machines. Work in this direction began at the end of 2014, when the import substitution program was approved in Russia. Machine builders understood that someone must offer Russian mining and oil companies an equivalent of the equipment that was supplied from Europe until 2014. As a result: over the past three years, this production “menu” of the Pridnestrovian plant has doubled.

“In 2016-2017, almost every third car that was produced at the plant was a novelty. These were developments that allowed us to enter new industries, in which the enterprise was present singly or wasn`t present at all. Those were the machines that the plant had never produced. Last year, we developed a whole series of energy efficient machines, which have practically no analogues in the territory of the Russian Federation. They are replacing imported engines” - Vladimir Trandasir explained.

The First in the Transneft Registry

The main Pridnestrovian electric motors consumers are still the energy companies of the Russian Federation. Their interest and confidence in the products of Electromash is not only preserved, but also strengthened every year. Recently, Transneft, the Russian natural transport monopoly, oil-trunk and oil-product pipelines operator, praised the quality of Pridnestrovian machines.

Elektromash NP CJSC was the first manufacturer of low-voltage electric motors to be included in the register of main products purchased by Transneft PJSC.

“We first started producing these machines in 2016, and during this time we were able to raise the quality of their production to such a level that they were the first to enter Transneft register of suppliers. This is a very complex and lengthy procedure associated with the examination of production, documentation, and not all companies can go through it. In the post-Soviet space, we are the only ones. This year, a certain amount of orders for machines of this segment will replenish our portfolio” - the General Director emphasized.

Strengthening Positions in the Siberian Federal District

This year, Electromash intends to strengthen its position in the Siberian Federal District (SFD) - it is here that 16 per cent of the total volume of electric machines produced by the Pridnestrovian engineering giant for the Russian consumer is supplied.

Very soon, an exclusive shopping and service center will start operating in the administrative center of the Siberian Federal District - the city of Novosibirsk. An agreement on its opening was signed last fall on the sidelines of the VI Pridnestrovian International Investment Economic Forum.

“Competition in this district of the Russian Federation is very high. Simple sales are no longer effective here. We need comprehensive offers, a range of warranty and post-warranty service. It is necessary to have the possibility of commissioning on-site, and make it possible we need to have some kind of a base, a serious representation. We will open it on the basis of our partner - Strategia NGO” - the general director of the Pridnestrovian plant said.

In December, specialists from Novosibirsk were trained in Tiraspol, and 22 large Elektromash machines had already been shipped to the site of the trade and service center. The center grand opening is scheduled for February.

Nuclear Market and Orders for 2019

In 2019 Elektromash will continue to supply its products to Kudankulam NPP (India), which is being built by Russia. By the way, the Pridnestrovian machine-building giant began to develop the nuclear market in 2015, and today Elektromash engines are already spinning at 6 nuclear power plants. One nuclear power plant is located in Belarus, Russia and India, three - in Ukraine. Already there are repeat orders for the next few years.

“Together with the Nasosenergomash Sumy plant, we are involved in integrated supplies for the nuclear industry in India. The first experience was in 2017. Our engines have shown themselves to be good in operation in those climatic conditions, and we have already signed contracts for 2019-2020, and even partially for 2021. This, too, can be considered an evaluation of our efforts” - Vladimir Trandasir said.

The company management looks for this year with optimism and aims to complete it with indicators no worse than last year’s. Fortunately, there is potential to do this.
