Tiraspol, October, 24. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Vadim Krasnoselski, Pridnestrovie president, met with the Head of the OSCE Mission in Moldova, Claus Neukirch.
Greeting the guest, the Head of State noted that the opinion of international mediators is important for Pridnestrovie. He emphasized that today there is a need to continue discussing current issues on the negotiation agenda and to work out an optimal mechanism for implementing already reached and promising agreements.
“The fact of signing agreements is secondary: their implementation is what important” - the presidential press office quoted Vadim Krasnoselski.
Vadim Krasnoselski pointed shared interest of the parties in resolving the issues of the day, emphasizing that both Pridnestrovie and Moldova are taking reciprocal steps, seeking to come to a consensus. The President of Pridnestrovie addressed the words of gratitude to all participants of the “5+2” format negotiation process for their non-indifference and assistance.
In his turn, Claus Neukirch reminded that his previous meeting with Vadim Krasnoselski was held in 2016, and drew attention to the incredible progress in the achievement of concrete results by the negotiators. The Head of the OSCE Mission in Moldova noted clearly visible interest in achieving a practical result and personal involvement in the negotiation process of the country's leadership. The European diplomat also commended the interaction of his department with Pridnestrovie Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Claus Neukirch believes that the time has come to analyze the content of the current negotiation agenda in order to give a correct assessment of the advisability of holding the next meeting in the format of the “Permanent Meeting ...”
The parties discussed specific aspects related to the negotiation process and interaction between Pridnestrovie and OSCE, and agreed to continue joint activities as a matter of fact.
