The relevant Minister announced the report on the current situation in the republic's healthcare sector today not in her office or via conference call, as is the case during the meetings of the Operational Headquarters. Kristina Albul informed the President about the state of affairs during the presidential working visit to the Mother and Child Center in Bendery. According to the Minister, 11 out of 13 hospitals are fully functioning in Pridnestrovie, capable of simultaneously accommodating and providing treatment to 2580 patients after the forced optimization carried out in connection with the energy crisis. 1789 hospital beds are occupied as of today. Two hospitals in Rybnitsa and Dubossary provide only emergency care, the rest of the patients are referred, and if necessary, delivered to Kamenka and Grigoriopol.
Outpatient care is also provided. Medical institutions of this block are adapting to rolling blackouts. If there is electricity, they receive patients on site. Citizens are served by home calls during the absence of electricity in the healthcare facility. 7622 Pridnestrovians turned to polyclinics, feldsher-obstetric stations, and rural medical outpatient clinics yesterday. 1881 of them are doctors in Bendery. This is only in the outpatient mode. As for the Bendery Center for Mother and Child, which the President visited today, 235 beds have been deployed there for the duration of the emergency, said the head of the medical institution, Alla Shevchenko.
There are two pediatric, surgical, neurological, maternity, gynecological, ENT and neonatal departments. There were 23 women and 64 children in the Bendery Center for Mother and Child at the time of the presidential visit. Five of the eight departments of the center are of national importance, so children are now being brought here from different cities and districts of the republic. Young patients brought from nearby Moldovan villages are not denied medical care, noted Vera Grigorchuk, head of the pediatric department. The wards and offices are warm – 22-23 degrees.
The premises were heated with a gas boiler previously. Now a comfortable temperature is maintained thanks to a diesel module. This boiler provides heat and hot water to the Mother and Child Center in Bendery, the city hospital and the tuberculosis hospital, Vladimir Gaidarzhi, head of Benderyteploenergo, told Vadim Krasnoselsky. The president asked about fuel consumption: about a hundred liters per hour, about 2.5 thousand liters of diesel per day.
