The PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky spoke with foreign diplomats today. The head of the Pridnestrovian state invited them to a video conference to present reliable and objective information from the first person about the causes of the energy crisis that has engulfed Pridnestrovie, its consequences and the factors that impede the resolution of the global problem. The facts presented by Vadim Krasnoselsky were listened to by representatives of Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Turkey, the USA, Great Britain, as well as European associations and organizations – the EU and the OSCE. The President of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic after a lengthy and detailed speech answered clarifying questions from his interlocutors. Ambassador-at-Large of the Russian Foreign Ministry Vitaly Tryapitsyn, for example, asked whether there are currently working contacts between the banks of the Dniester and whether there are signs of convergence of positions on the issue of overcoming the energy crisis. According to Vadim Krasnoselsky, there is very cautious optimism that the parties will be able to reach an agreement, and “Moldovagaz” will resume gas supplies to Pridnestrovie.
Vadim Krasnoselsky called on the participants of the conversation and the international community in their person not to be an advocate for one of the parties, but to act as an impartial arbitrator and to assist by virtue of their authority in overcoming the crisis, in particular, in resuming gas supplies to Pridnestrovie by the medium of “Moldovagaz”.
