Tiraspol, 15 February. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Moldova and Pridnestrovie will deal with the problem of mutual repatriation of children left without parental care.
A mechanism regulating the return of this category of minor citizens from Moldova to Pridnestrovie and from Pridnestrovie to Moldova is to be finalized by the relevant experts of the parties, Pridnestrovie's foreign minister Vitaly Ignatyev said in a briefing with journalists on the outcome of the meeting held today in Chisinau in the "1 +1" format.
According to him, a draft protocol decision on this issue, which was previously repeatedly discussed at the level of specialists, is close to agreement by the parties.
The human rights experts will also have to work on a number of issues related to the protection of socially vulnerable segments of the population. "There are many humanitarian issues that need to be resolved at the legal level," said Vitaly Ignatyev.
According to the diplomat, the parties have agreed today that the work of the political representatives should be conducted more intensively.
"We are expecting the visit of Mr [Alfredo] Conte (Minister Plenipotentiary of the Directorate General for Political and Security Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Italy, ed.) and Mr [Franco] Frattini (Special Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office on the Moldovan-Transnistrian settlement-ed.) I hope that by that time we'll have achieved some other additional results," said Vitaly Ignatyev.
At today's meeting the parties also signed a protocol decision on cooperation in veterinary, quarantine and plant protection.
