The State Secretary - Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Grigory Karasin called the statements of the Moldovan authorities to recover money for 'occupation' of Pridnestrovie from Russia a provocation, RIA Novosti reports.
Previously, the speaker of the Moldova's parliament had accused Russia of international norms violation and informed about intention to recover billions of dollars for 'occupation' from Moscow.
"Thanks to the efforts of the international community, the efforts of Tiraspol and Chisinau certain positive decisions have been made by the end of the year. We should be guided by them, not by such provocative slogans," Karasin considers.
"It will remain on the conscience of the one who has said this. Putting the issue of the peacekeeping operation on the Dniester which has marked 25-year anniversary recently like this is rude and shameless. What is more, responsible politicians have to understand that this peacekeeping operation has served as the guarantor of secure development for both the Republic of Moldova, and Pridnestrovie, and now it continues remaining the guarantor of peace and glittering future for people," the Russian Deputy Foreign Minister emphasized.
He added that such issues are not resolved with loud statements from a rostrum, but through careful and stage-by-stage work on achievement of mutually acceptable decisions for the both sides of the Pridnestrovian settlement.
