Open Lesson with the PMR President on the Topic "History of the Pridnestrovian People"

Vadim Krasnoselsky delivered the third lecture in the "Open Lesson with the President" series. Educational meetings with young people are held as part of the "Dialogue on Equal Terms" project. The topic of today's discussion, "History of the Pridnestrovian People," was chosen deliberately: the lesson opens the 2025-2026 academic year, and both 2025 and 2026 have been declared the Year of the Pridnestrovian People by presidential decree as is well known. This is the first such decision. What motivated the extension, and why is so much attention being paid at the state level to the Pridnestrovian people, their identity, and the history of this community's formation? The lecturer did not provide direct answers. The President prepared the audience for reflection and their own conclusions with his speech. The lesson was replete with historical facts, dates, and events. The material presented by the country's leader was vividly and informatively illustrated. Photo and video documents were used, scenes from the past were recreated using modern technology, and historical figures from the annals of the Pridnestrovian people were brought to life through the participation of artists.

Nearly seven hundred high school and first-year students from secondary and higher education institutions received invitations to today's open lesson. Young people from all cities and districts of Pridnestrovie were present in the auditorium — the Great Hall of the Palace of the Republic. Vadim Krasnoselsky called young people the main achievement of the Pridnestrovian people and their future.

The lecture lasted two academic hours. The full version of the lesson will be available on the official websites of the President of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic, the Ministry of Education of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic, the News of Pridnestrovie news agency, and the Pridnestrovian Historical Portal.
