Bendery, 17 October. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Bendery's Tigina factory is expanding its market outlets. The factory has managed to export four times as many shoes this year as in 2016.
Today Tigina produces 350 models of shoes for men, women and children for all seasons. The factory chiefly fulfils orders from Russian and European companies. Only 15% of shoes go to the domestic market.
This year, for the first time in its history, the factory has been licenced to produce and sell shoes under the German brand of Romika.
"We started to explore the Russian market last October. But this year the market has increased. We have increased our sales to Russia by four times, compared to last year. In terms of percentage, our today's volume of sales is nearly 50/50 between Russian and European markets," said Tigina's CEO Tatyana Sorokina.
According to her, lower taxes for the production sector will give impetus to the factory's development. The new legislation has been drafted by the government and approved by the Supreme Council. The rate of mandatory payments will be reduced from 20% to 50%.
"We understand this rate is legitimate; now we can calculate prices for the next period based on this rate This means stability in communicating with our economic agents, with our buyers. [it is important] to know for the future what the rate will be and what price we can offer our customers," said Sorokina.
The factory is a consistent taxpayer, providing 270 jobs for Bendery residents. The management claims the factory is ready to expand and develop.
