Tiraspol, 11 October. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. During his visit to our republic the Russian vice premier, presidential envoy on Pridnestrovie, Dmitry Rogozin visited the biggest industrial enterprise — Elektromash. Once part of the Soviet industry, the plant is still chiefly oriented towards the Russian market.

A blitz tour of the plant's shops was organised for the distinguished guest to show what is produced and what can be produced at Elektromash. The latter roused the vice premier's interest most of all.

«My current goal is to see the feasibility of the bill of products produced at the plant for the Russian economy, including for some export contracts. For example, for Rosatom projects. Another thing is what other bill of products with similar technology can be produced here, based on the plant's manufacturability," he noted.

These words inspired great hope in Pridnestrovian manufacturers for retaining and, what is more, expanding their positions in the Russian market of industrial goods.

«Dmitry Olegovich [Rogozin] has a very good reaction. It is sufficient for him to hear a phrase, and he at once makes a decision, gives instructions to his aides on cooperation and some other issues. There are some areas where we are unfortunately stalling," said Chairman of the Government Pavel Prokudin.

«There was such a request and we were assured that we would be assisted in establishing contacts with potential customers," added the Elektromash director general, Vladimir Trandasir.

Despite being in Pridenstrovie, the plant has been part of the Russian import substitution programme for already two years. Representatives of regular customers — Transneft, Lukoil, Gazprom and recently Rosatom — regularly visit the plant, watching the production process and controlling the quality of products.

The main thing Elektromash has achieved is participation in tenders on a par with their Russian competitors. For the enterprise with Russian orders exceeding 90% of the overall sales volume, the retention of such positions is vital.

«We need to be perceived as a Russian subject to compete with other Russian enterprises on equal footing. We are not asking for more — we only want to retain what we have. At the present stage we only need [to establish] business contacts so that we will be heard and our potential clients will be informed about our capabilities to produce high-quality and competitive goods," said Trandasir.

He also noted that the plant was ready to take new orders and increase production volumes.

«Dmitry Olegovich has taken interest in our potential: what other possibilities we have, what other markets we can explore, what sectors may be of interest to us. In the coming days we will prepare and submit a package of specific materials," underscored the Elektromash director general.
