Tiraspol, 26 November. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The historian said that Moldovan border guards had not given any explanations of a sudden ban to enter Moldova.
«They did not incriminate me anything, nor did they charge me with anything, nor did they say anything on the merits. They just denied entry to Moldova. They said I had no occasion to enter the country. Very strange statement," said Nikita Bondarev.
The scientist noted that he had already visited Pridnestrovie, but then Molodva had not put obstacles in his way. «A year ago I visited both Tiraspol and Kishinev. I was very much impressed with Pridnestrovie's beauties. Everything was so good and wonderful then that I was not even asked to produce my passport when crossing Pridnestrovie’s border," recalls the expert.
According to Nikita Bondarev, these actions by the Moldovan authorities aim to isolate Pridnestrovie and cut its scientific and academic contacts as he had no other goals except for participating in the international scientific conference.
«They can't just stop any scientific and academic exchange between Pridnestrovie and the rest of the world. It is impossible and useless. I was going to stay there for a day to take part in the conference. On Friday I would be on my way home. I wonder what threat I could pose to Moldova and how I could endanger the country in one day. Obviously, nothing and in no way," said the historian, adding that such actions show the Moldovan authorities in a bad light.
