Tiraspol, February, 6. / Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the PMR Vitaly Ignatiev met the delegation of representatives of intermediaries and observers into the negotiation process in a format «A constant meeting …». The Press Service of department reports about it.
By the invitation of the Pridnestrovian side in the MFA of the PMR there arrived the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Slovak Republic to the RM Dušan Dacho, the Minister Counselor of Embassy of the Russian Federation in Moldova Roman Romanov, the Co-chairman of JCC from Russia Ilya Uvarov, the Deputy US Ambassador to the RM Martin McDowell, the Acting Head of the OSCE Mission to Moldova Lajos Karakas , the First Secretary of the Ukraine Embassy in RM Sergey Zhivchuk and the Political Adviser of the EU delegation to Moldova Olga Beynarovich.
During the conversation, Vitaly Ignatiev expressed gratitude to the international partners and participants of the 5+2 format for constant attention to the Moldo-Pridnestrovian settlement process. The Foreign Minister of the PMR emphasized that during formation of authorities system of Moldova and before the emergence of the representative on political affairs it is necessary to keep dynamics of dialogue, including activation of communication in the area of participants of the 5+2 format.
«We highly appreciate the visit of the Acting Chairman of OSCE and those messages which were designated during the working discussions. We received an important signal that the Moldo-Pridnestrovian settlement remains among priorities of OSCE the next years. Also, we support the idea of making contacts at all levels of the negotiation process, including meetings of the 5+2 format, more regular», – the Foreign Minister of the PMR noted.
Vitaly Ignatiev presented a position of the Pridnestrovian side on a wide range of the topical issues connected with the current relations between Pridnestrovie and the Republic of Moldova. The Minister confirmed the commitment of Pridnestrovie to the decision at a negotiating table of practical social humanitarian issues for the good of people. Ignatiev emphasized the need for responsible execution by the parties of already signed arrangements, including concerning telecommunications and closing of politically motivated criminal cases.
The Foreign Minister also paid attention to a number of public statements of the representatives of Moldova who mentioned the settlement process. The diplomat emphasized that one more important purpose of a meeting in the Foreign Ministry is to give an opportunity first-hand to receive data on a position of Pridnestrovie.
At the end of the meeting participants of the discussion highly appreciated an opportunity to exchange views on topical issues in a multilateral format. Vitaly Ignatiev, in particular, emphasized that the similar format of dialogue with intermediaries and observers can become a good tradition and the important mechanism of strengthening of collaboration in the negotiation process.
