Vadim Krasnoselsky met with Dorota Dlouchy-Suliga

Meeting of the PMR President and the delegation headed by Dorota Dlouchy-Suliga, Head of the European External Action Service department for Georgia, Moldova, Armenia, Azerbaijan and Belarus was held at the presidential executive office. The Pridnestrovian side in addition to Vadim Krasnoselsky was represented by the heads of the legislative and executive branches of government of the republic Alexander Korshunov and Alexander Rosenberg, as well as the PMR Foreign Minister Vitaly Ignatiev.

The President outlined the current state of affairs. Speaking about the state of the negotiation process, he stated that the format of the “Permanent Conference...” is idle, expert (working) groups practically do not meet, political representatives meetings are without success. Vadim Krasnoselsky emphasized that Pridnestrovie remains a supporter of negotiations and hopes to continue the dialogue, realistically assessing all objective and subjective factors.

Problematic aspects related to criminal prosecution on politically motivated grounds of officials of Pridnestrovie, economic pressure on economic entities of the republic and an extremely negative impact on the economy of the country as a whole were identified. Vadim Krasnoselsky emphasized that Moldova is taking advantage of the difficult foreign policy situation to create blockade conditions in relation to Pridnestrovie. He provided specific data that directly indicate a violation by the Republic of Moldova of previously reached agreements, its own legislation and various international norms. It was about Moldova presenting obviously impossible demands to Pridnestrovian economic entities. The PMR President called what was happening “a theater of the absurd”, and what Moldovan officials allow themselves to call “the creation of equal conditions for doing business”, Vadim Krasnoselsky considers lawlessness and qualifies as an obstruction of legitimate business activity. “We need to trust each other to get closer to discussing a political model. We can't trust. It is impossible to force trust. Trust cannot be achieved through force”, emphasized Vadim Krasnoselsky.

The topic of the forum planned by Moldova for April 11 of this year did not go unnoticed. The PMR President considers its organization a big European mistake, the consequence of which will be the nullification of the work of the “5+2” format and support of Moldova’s pressure on Pridnestrovie.

Vadim Krasnoselsky expressed hope that today's meeting will be able to give some impetus to the negotiation process.

Dorota Dlouchy-Suliga indicated that this was her fourth meeting with the PMR President, and noted that she appreciated the opportunity for a detailed discussion of a wide range of aspects.
