The PMR President received European delegation led by Thomas Mayr-Harting

Pridnestrovie was visited by European delegation led by the Special Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office Thomas Mayr-Harting. The diplomats were received by Vadim Krasnoselsky. The meeting was held at the presidential executive office. Welcoming the guests, the PMR President noted that almost five months had passed since the previous conversation. The events that took place during this period do not cause optimism. According to Vadim Krasnoselsky, the negotiation process is still in a state of stagnation, moreover, there are areas in which the dialogue not only does not develop, but slow down, having reached the level of 2018 by today. The PMR President emphasized that he was counting on a serious productive conversation that would contribute to solving the accumulated problems. We are talking about humanitarian issues. Vadim Krasnoselsky urged not to live with outdated stereotypes, but to move forward.

Thomas Mayr-Harting spoke about the value of dialogue – both directly from the parties, and all participants in the "5 + 2" format. The Ambassador noted the steps taken by the Pridnestrovian side to solve urgent problems on the negotiation agenda, and also spoke about the importance of holding a dialogue at the highest level – in the "1 + 1" format.

Among today's visitors was the Head of the OSCE Mission to Moldova, Kelly Keiderling. She was appointed to this post at the beginning of this month. Introducing his colleague, Thomas Mayr-Harting expressed confidence that the cooperation with Kelly Keiderling would be fruitful.

The participants exchanged views on a wide range of issues in the course of the meeting. It was noted that the priority in any circumstances is to maintain peace, ensure security and respect for the rights of citizens.
