The commissioning of one of the buildings of the Municipal Special Correctional Educational Institution Number 2 of the capital is timed to coincide with the City Day. The specialized institution has been operating since 1965 on the basis of a kindergarten, the building of which was erected in 1961. At first, one group was opened for children with visual impairments, later the preschool institution was completely redeveloped into a correctional one. The building that houses six out of ten groups of the Municipal Special Correctional Educational Institution, as well as a music hall, psychologist and medical care offices, a catering unit, and a laundry, has never been overhauled. This year, 3.6 million rubles were allocated from the Capital Investment Fund for its reconstruction and equipment. The roof was repaired, the facade was put in order, the ventilation system was updated, and the adjacent territory was landscaped. Floors, engineering communications, sanitary equipment are new in the premises. Furniture and kitchen equipment was purchased under the Equal Opportunities state program. A holiday was arranged on the occasion of the post-repair housewarming. The President of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Vadim Krasnoselsky was among the guests.
The PMR President noted congratulating the pupils and employees of the Municipal Special Correctional Educational Institution that Pridnestrovie pays increased attention to correctional institutions, infrastructure is being updated within the framework of state programs, specialized equipment is being purchased. Vadim Krasnoselsky assured that the improvement of the Municipal Special Correctional Educational Institution Number 2 will continue – the second building is next in line.
The President said that the success of the upbringing and socialization of children who need a special approach is in constant attention. The President expressed his gratitude to the parents, congratulated everyone on the City Day and a significant Orthodox holiday. Vadim Krasnoselsky noted that the history of Tiraspol is rich in various events, and expressed confidence that a bright page in the chronicle of the city on the Dniester is being written.
The President went the renovated premises and talked to the staff after the official part of the event. Director of the Municipal Special Correctional Educational Institution Number 2 Tamara Gikova said that about a hundred kids are being brought up in the institution. Each group has no more than ten children. The created conditions are close to home.
