All facilities where citizens are located around the clock, during the period of absence of gas supply and centralized heat supply are under special control. Penitentiary institutions are no exception. Measures have been taken in advance to ensure normal temperature conditions in places of deprivation of liberty. More than fifty solid fuel stoves have been manufactured and installed. Electricity and water are supplied. There are 10 generators available. Some facilities use wood-fired boiler houses. For example, a solid fuel boiler with a capacity of 200 kW was initially launched, which allows not only to heat the premises of a three-story building with an area of 2755 square meters, where prisoners are located, but also to heat water in a volume of up to a thousand liters per hour for carrying out water-hygienic procedures among the special contingent in the Penitentiary Institution-3, the head of the State Penitentiary Service Vitaly Ishchenko told the PMR President, who visited the correctional institution with an inspection. This equipment was allocated as assistance by the "Pridnestrovian Railway" State Unitary State Enterprise. This need arose due to the delay in the delivery of new equipment purchased abroad. It has already been delivered, but has not yet been installed. The purchased boiler is twice as powerful. Solid fuel boilers will be used in four institutions.
The President inquired whether a stock of firewood has been formed. 1665 warehouse meters of timber have been delivered to the institutions and divisions of the penitentiary system. They collect dead wood. 150 warehouse meters of timber have been used so far. 40 kilograms of coal were used in addition. So far only for testing. Tests have shown the effectiveness of using anthracite at lower temperatures outside. 100 tons of coal have been allocated from the reserve fund for the needs of the State Penitentiary Service this raw material has a higher heat output in total. Vadim Krasnoselsky asked whether the incidence of diseases among those serving sentences has increased. Vitaly Ishchenko reported that there are no reasons: the rooms are warm, 20-24 degrees. The rates of acute respiratory diseases do not exceed those among the civilian population. Emergency medical care is provided in a timely manner and at the proper level. There is enough medicines.
