Vadim Krasnoselsky met with Vitaly Tryapitsy

Working meeting of the PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky with the Ambassador-at-Large of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Vitaly Tryapitsyn took place at the presidential executive office. The Russian guest was accompanied by Co-Chairman of the Joint Control Commission from Russia Andrei Gorobtsov and Assistant to the Ambassador Arif Gadzhiev. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Vitaly Ignatiev took part in the discussion from the Pridnestrovian side.

The interlocutors after exchanging greetings outlined the agenda for the meeting. They see it as important to discuss the negotiation process between Pridnestrovie and Moldova in addition to the issues of Pridnestrovian-Russian interaction in various spheres. Russia is an active participant in the "Permanent Conference ..." format. The opinion of the Russian Foreign Ministry is important for Pridnestrovie. Today's conversation is of particular value in the light of the expected round of talks in Stockholm in the near future. Vadim Krasnoselsky spoke about the preliminary developments and discussion of the current agenda with the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office Ann Linde, noting the unity of positions on the expediency of holding meetings aimed at achieving practical results.

Discussing the problematic aspects, they focused on the issue of limiting the movement of transport with Pridnestrovian license plates from the 1st of September. Vadim Krasnoselsky recalled Moldova's failure to fulfill the obligations enshrined in the jointly signed protocol of April 24, 2018. The PMR President drew attention to the fact that the Moldovan side demonstrates unwillingness to solve this acute social problem. He also focused on the fact that initially the situation was presented as a decision taken by the Ukrainian side to prohibit the crossing of the Pridnestrovian-Ukrainian border by vehicles from Pridnestrovie, but now there are facts confirming the existence of Moldovan-Ukrainian collusion. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic supported the President's statement by recalling a series of events and decisions that led to the current state of affairs.

Vadim Krasnoselsky expressed confidence that Moldova had the opportunity to continue an effective dialogue, preventing the creation of difficulties insurmountable with the current approach. Pridnestrovie is still ready for negotiations, openly declares this and takes actual steps, emphasized the President of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic. Letters with a statement of real facts were sent to the Moldovan leadership, a list of existing problems and proposals for a way out of the current situation. No response has yet been received.

Vadim Krasnoselsky gave a significant number of examples of problems that residents of both Pridnestrovie and Moldova faced as a result of some actions, and in other areas - inaction of the Moldovan authorities. Pridnestrovie connects with the participation of Russia and other mediators and observers of the "5 + 2" format hopes for achieving real results, and not creating the appearance of vigorous activity.

The parties discussed issues of bilateral cooperation. It was emphasized that the Pridnestrovian-Russian dialogue remains stable and constant.
