Working meeting of Vadim Krasnoselsky and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Moldova Oleg Vasnetsov was held at the presidential executive office. They discussed a wide range of issues of bilateral cooperation between Pridnestrovie and Russia as well as the state of the Pridnestrovian-Moldovan negotiation process.
Special attention was paid to the work of the Consular Service Center located in Tiraspol. The volume of appeals has noticeably increased due to related to the pandemic restrictions long pause in the activities of the Russian embassy structural unit. The interlocutors discussed ways to optimize work and measures that will help improve the quality of consular services to the population of the republic.
Discussing the state of affairs in the negotiation process the participants of the meeting agreed that the format of the "Permanent Conference..." is relevant, the dialogue should continue on the principles of openness, pragmatism and consolidation.
The topic of the upcoming Duma elections did not go unnoticed. Vadim Krasnoselsky and Oleg Vasnetsov discussed aspects related to the organization of voting on the territory of Pridnestrovie. The interlocutors are sure that Pridnestrovians with Russian citizenship in September of this year will demonstrate the civic responsibility and electoral activity typical of the republic's residents. All organizational issues are resolved on the operating level. The parties agreed to continue interaction in all spheres of mutual Pridnestrovian-Russian interest.
