Tiraspol, April 15. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Last week, the Pridnestrovian delegation to the Joint Control Commission (JCC) issued a statement on the fact of the PMR citizen Alexander Pascar abduction by the Moldovan police.
On April 1, the common law wife of Alexander Paskar made a statement at the Bendery prosecutor’s office. According to the JCC’ co-chairman from Pridnestrovie, the pridnestrovian side’s reaction was immediate.
“At that moment an inspection in the framework of the Bendery Internal Affairs Directorate is carrying out for the offence in the actions of those, by whom the PMR citizen Pascar was brought out to the territory of Moldova,” Oleg Belyakov reported on the air of the First Pridnestrovian TV channel.
According to the Pridnestrovian delegation’s head, this’s hardly the first incident of the Moldovan security abduction of the PMR citizens in the Security Zone.
One of the recent cases is the abduction of Andrey Samoniy by the Republic of Moldova police. A former law enforcement officer from Pridnestrovie was sentenced to 15 years of imprisonment in Moldova.
According to Oleg Belyakov, about 13 similar cases have been recorded to this date. Numbers of the abducted PMR citizens were returned to Pridnestrovie.
“We are simply obliged to come to an agreement on this issue, and find common ground. Otherwise, it will lead to aggravation in the Security Zone,” the co-chairman of the JCC from Pridnestrovie said.
In speaking of the interaction between the PMR as well as RM law enforcement bodies, Oleg Belyakov noted that it’s continuing, despite the fact of Moldova’s withdrawing from the relevant agreements in the year of 2004 on the premise that they allegedly violate the RM Constitution.
“There is a temporary regulation on the law enforcement agencies’ activities of both in the Area with a high-security protection as well as in the Security Zone, where territoriality elements in the work of law enforcement officers in the Security Zone are clearly defined. In Bendery, operational investigative groups from the RM and PMR take place. A Varnitsa district is being served by the Moldovan police, however they are constantly making attempts to violate their responsibility’s boundaries,” the head of the Pridnestrovian delegation to the JCC noted.
