Tiraspol, January 21. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The representatives of expert (working) groups from Pridnestrovie and Moldova held a video conferencing meeting in the matter of transport and road industry development, the PMR Ministry of Foreign Affairs press service reported.
The current situation in the field of international public-transportation ridership was analyzed by specialized professionals. As the result, the decision of enhancing coordination and refining the aspects, involved with cancellation or redistribution the routes of PMR transport companies between Pridnestrovian and Moldovan, had been reached.
“The Moldova’s continued evasion from consideration on the merits of the draft Protocol resolution on the admission of Pridnestrovian carriers transport to the DMV (Department of Motor Vehicles), which had been submitted earlier by the Pridnestrovian side, leads to the destruction of traditional routes to Russia and Ukraine, that have existed for many years,” the PMR representatives stressed.
Pridnestrovie again appealed the Moldovan side for performance of earlier accepted obligations and accommodation on mechanisms for admission Pridnestrovian buses to DMV registration in order to implementation the social and commercial functions of passenger transportation services.
The central focus was emphasized on possible ways of the effectiveness improvement of the DMV activity. Particularly, the Pridnestrovian side defined aspects involved with driving licenses use, the impossibility of registering vehicles over the age of 10 in the Department of Motor Vehicles (imported after the signing of the Protocol resolution in April 24, 2018), the Moldovan side refusal to issue a vehicle registration form in the DMV, the impossibility transport facilities re-equipment with neutral license plates and a dozen more technical questions, which to be resolved.
“The current meeting has demonstrated, that the Moldovan side have a lack of practical readiness to move towards resolving the above-mentioned problems even with clearly expressed international assistance. In this respect, the Pridnestrovian representatives individually paid attention of the negotiation process participants to the inadmissibility and unreasonable of any restrictions or corresponding the unconscionable agitation against vehicles owners registered in Pridnestrovie.
According to Pridnestrovian side, the growing of the population’s interest in the mechanism of the Department of Motor Vehicles is directly related to the effectiveness improvement of their activities through the settlement of existing problems recognized by the mediators,” the PMR Foreign Ministry press-release reports.
