A meeting of the President with young participants of three international creative and cultural-educational projects, their mentors and officials supervising the relevant areas was held in the negotiation hall of the Administration of the PMR President.
Welcoming the guests, Vadim Krasnoselsky emphasized the importance of the participation of Pridnestrovians in various events held abroad. He noted that external contacts are valuable not only for them, but also for the state, since cultural diplomacy is an effective tool for creating a positive image of the country.
Suvorov military college pupil Alexander Yatskov, student of Bendery school No. 15 Margarita Makarova, resident of Rybnitsa Anastasia Tkachuk, high school student from Dubossary Alexandra Pokasovskaya and lyceum student Nestor Ciobanu from Grigoriopol shared their impressions of participating in the "Train of Memory" project with the President. They said that the event was held for the fourth time, but Pridnestrovie was represented for the first time. If only Russian and Belarusian children participated in the first year, then the project united this year two hundred schoolchildren from one and a half dozen countries. They visited 15 cities in Russia and Belarus during the two-week journey. They covered 8730 kilometers. 3203 video greetings were transmitted from various historical and memorable places associated with the Great Patriotic War. There were unexpected meetings. A professional freestyle wrestler Nestor Ciobanu said that he personally met the legend of Soviet and Russian sports, four-time Olympic medalist, and senator of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Alexander Karelin, received instructions and a memorable gift from him. The passengers of the "Train of Memory" were lucky enough to attend the St. Petersburg graduation ball "Scarlet Sails".
The second group of the President's interlocutors are the participants of the III International Children's Film Festival "Khrustalny Istochnik", which took place in Yessentuki. The film crew from Pridnestrovie included residents of Tiraspol Chuprina Anastasia (director, screenwriter, cameraman), Bragnebun Varvara, Bogdan Morar, Elena Rotaru, Dmitry Brynzar. Their script passed the selection stage. Filming took place directly in Yessentuki. The equipment included a phone video camera. The "Acquaintance with a Dream" film was awarded a special prize from the festival president.
Young vocalist Lev Smertin and lead singer of the "Dnestr" vocal and instrumental ensemble Mikhail Nazaroy conquered the Belarusian stage and a huge international audience of the song contest "Slavianski Bazaar". They said that not only the creative path to success was difficult, but also the road to Vitebsk, where the arts festival is traditionally held. Lev got there by bus, Mikhail by car. The artists admitted, the emotions of the competition overshadow any difficulties. In addition, they got acquainted with interesting cultural and historical sites along the way taking advantage of the opportunity.
The conversation took place in the format of a tea party. They discussed not only recent achievements and impressions associated with them, but also plans, prospects, and aspects that concern the children. They talked about history and the importance of preserving it. For example, the President was told about a teacher of the Moldavian language and literature from the village of Korotnoye – the keeper of the local museum of military and labor glory. They asked to pay attention to her merits. Vadim Krasnoselsky in turn encouraged the children to continue the work started by the teacher. Exchanging impressions from visiting museums in different cities and countries, they also discussed the creation of the Pridnestrovian State Museum. They touched on the topic of cinematography. Creative youth are interested in the prospects for the development of this area. They asked whether a film adaptation of the book "The Fate of a Tanker" is planned. They exchanged ideas regarding historical events, real personalities and fictional characters worthy of the attention of filmmakers. Vadim Krasnoselsky recommended paying attention to the Fortress of Bendery. It is not only a treasure trove of historical facts and legends, but also a ready-made film set that does not require artificial scenery.
The meeting participants exchanged memorable gifts. The PMR President invited the children to the Big History Lesson with the President, scheduled for the beginning of the school year.
