The PMR Foreign Ministry commented on the situation with the Moldovan law enforcement officials` detention

The Foreign Ministry pointed out that certain political forces in Moldova had tried to speculate on the situation for electoral purposes

Tiraspol, October 8. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The Foreign Ministry recalled that on October 7, 2020, law enforcement agencies of the PMR detained a group of people for committing a number of crimes on the territory of Pridnestrovie, two of whom are active law enforcement officers of Moldova Republic.

“Certain political forces in Moldova tried to speculate on the situation for electoral purposes. As you know, Pridnestrovie takes a principled position of non-interference in the internal political processes of the neighboring state,” the PMR Ministry of Foreign Affairs commented on the situation.

The Foreign Ministry reported that that day Presidents of the PMR and the RM had held a telephone conversation, during which the interlocutors confirmed their mutual adherence to the principles of constructive dialogue and humanity.

“Meeting the requests of the Moldovan side, the law enforcement agencies of Pridnestrovie refrained from choosing a preventive measure in the form of arrest against Moldovan law enforcement officers who were released from custody,” the commentary stated.

At the same time, all the necessary procedural actions will be implemented in full compliance with the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic legislation.
