Tiraspol, November 26./Novosti Pridnestrovya/. During the visit to Moscow, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the PMR Vitaliy Ignatiev met the Ambassador-at-Large of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Sergei Gubarev.
The central aspect of the meeting was a discussion of the current situation in the negotiation process between Pridnestrovie and the Republic of Moldova with a focus on some results of the informal confidence-building conference (November 4-5, Bavaria). In particular, the parties expressed concern about the decline in the dynamics of work at all levels of the negotiation process and the impact of its mechanisms against the background of new problems in the relations between the parties. The participants of the meeting stressed the need to maintain a systematic dialogue in the negotiation process and unconditional implementation of the agreements reached earlier in the interests of people.
During the conversation, Vitaliy Ignatiev and Sergey Gubarev also discussed the development of bilateral contacts between Russia and Pridnestrovie in a number of topical areas. Special attention was paid to the current functioning of the peacekeeping operation under the auspices of Russia.
At the end of the meeting the interlocutors agreed to maintain communication on all topical issues, the press service of the MFA of the PMR reports.
