Tiraspol, October, 3. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Prime Minister Alexander Martynov, together with representatives of the economic bloc, met with the European Union delegation.
The press service of Government reports that among the guests were the head of DG Trade of the European Commission Petros Sourmelis and the representative of Unit DG Trade Alberto Fernandez Diez.
Welcoming the delegation, the Prime Minister noted the importance of such meetings in the Pridnestrovian Government.
“Trade with the EU traditionally occupies a fairly large share in the turnover of our state. This is not only the development of the Pridnestrovian business, it is also a direct influence on the development of the state as a whole through additional jobs, additional contributions to the budget, and the influx of foreign currency. Therefore, free trade with the EU is very important for Pridnestrovie,” Alexander Martynov said.
According to him, the republic satisfies and discharges all obligations under the previously developed “road map”.
Petros Sourmelis, in turn, noted the cooperation fruitfulness with Pridnestrovie, as well as his willingness to discuss any issues about simplified trade, operating under the agreement signed in 2015.
