Tiraspol, September 26. / Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The Sports Club Army central branch Chairman of the PMR Defence Ministry Ilya Burdygin won in long jumps competitions in Balkan Masters Athletics Championships 2019. The athlete was invited to participate in this tournament after positive results achievement at internal competitions, the PMR Defence Ministry press service reports.
The tournament took place from September 19 to September 22 in Bucharest, Romania. 700 athletes from 10 countries participated in category Masters over 35 years took part in it.
The PMR and RM Sports Master the in athletics Ilya Burdygin has played this sport since young years and has vast experience of internal and international competitions. He regards the recent success as the next stage in preparation for the following international starts, it is noted on the Defence Ministry website.
