The PMR President held a meeting with the OSCE Chairman-in-Office

The Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe as is known unites 57 countries that hold the chairmanship in turn, changing every year. If we talk about a specific official holding the post of OSCE Chairman-in-Office for 12 months, then this is usually the head of the foreign policy department of the country that presides over the organization during this period. In 2025, This is Elina Maria Valtonen, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Finland. She has headed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs since June 2023. She is a member of the Finnish parliament – Eduskunta.

Pridnestrovie is traditionally included in the agenda of the OSCE every year. Each Chairman-in-Office seeks to contribute to the resolution of the Moldovan-Pridnestrovian conflict – at least publicly declares this when visiting the republic on an official visit. Active involvement in the process of resolving controversial issues and problematic aspects is demonstrated. The fruitfulness of activities in this direction varies as practice shows. The OSCE Chairperson-in-Office Elina Valtonen arrived in Pridnestrovie today. There was meeting of the President of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Vadim Krasnoselsky with the European diplomat.
