Ignatiev and Gubarev discussed the main problems of the negotiation process

The main subjects of the meeting became a problem of closing of Pridnestrovian enterprises accounts in the Moldavian banks and the conflict around a pit in the Dubossary district

Tiraspol, September 18. / Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The day before the Ambassador-at-Large of the Russian Foreign Ministry Sergey Gubarev visited Pridnestrovie. He represents Moscow in the negotiation process on the moldo-pridnestrovian settlement. He met the PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky and the Foreign Affairs Minister Vitaly Ignatiev and also got acquainted with storage conditions of ammunition in warehouses OGRV (Taskforce of the Russian troops in Pridnestrovie) in the village Colbasna, Rybnitsa district.

The PMR Foreign Minister commented on some results of Russian diplomat visit. 

Closing of accounts and the conflict around a pit in the Dubossary district

According to the Minister, discussion of problems which became aggravated unilateral destructive actions of Chisinau was the main meeting goal. First of all, this is a number of the Pridnestrovie enterprises  accounts closing and also the problem connected with a pit in the Dubossary district, Vitaly Ignatiev told.

Concerning a problem of closing of accounts, Vitaly Ignatiev noted that it has not been solved yet

«As far as I know, the problem has not been solved yet, and the accounts for our enterprises are not opened. On all these facts we have concrete documents and data, we will communicate with our partners and, of course, with the Moldavian side. Perhaps, we will see some dynamics. Perhaps, the regulator just did not inform commercial banks that there were no problems and restrictions in work with the Pridnestrovian enterprises», – the Minister noted.

Diplomats of the PMR and the Russian Federation also discussed problems of telecommunications, criminal cases closings and the Pridnestrovian transport participation in the international car traffic.

«This questions do not find the solution within the existing agenda which the international partners consider priority», - Ignatiev told.

Proposals of Pridnestrovie within the Russian-Moldavian intergovernmental commission

The visit of Sergey Gubarev to Pridnestrovie took place in the run-up to several major events. Tomorrow the Secretary-general of the OSCE Thomas Greminger has to visit Tiraspol, for the first decade of October the meeting in the 5+2 format is scheduled, and tomorrow in Chisinau the economic forum with participation of the Pridnestrovian representatives has to open. It is carried out within work of the Russian-Moldavian intergovernmental commission where Pridnestrovie made 11 proposals. According to Ignatiev, these proposals became a subject of negotiations with Sergey Gubarev too.

«The Russian side supports our efforts to discuss all topical issues. There is no question which does not have an irrelevant character, - the Foreign Minister noticed. – In particular problems of correspondent accounts, the second phase of joint Ukrainian-Moldavian control on the checkpoint in Kuchurhan, energy, the northern site of railway communication across the territory of Pridnestrovie».

Peacekeeping operation

One more subject which was discussed during the visit of the Russian Foreign Ministry Ambassador at large, – peacekeeping operation.

«It is a traditional subject we discuss. As a part of the Russian delegation, there was an Assistant Secretary of foreign cases on peacekeeping operations mister Korotkov. It was said that peacekeeping operation was effective», - Vitaly Ignatiev told, having emphasized at the same time that Chisinau constantly makes the efforts directed to the demolition of a present peacekeeping format in which the Russian, Pridnestrovian and Moldavian contingents and also a group of the Ukrainian military observers are involved. 

The Minister of Foreign Affairs also added that peacekeeping operation was one of the peaceful settlement main guarantees of the moldo-pridnestrovian relations creating the bases for negotiating at all levels.

«Therefore we will make together all political and diplomatic efforts to make the peacekeeping operation work steadily and effectively», - the Foreign Minister of the PMR told.
