Tiraspol, July, 1. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. In Moscow, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the PMR, Vitaly Ignatiev, met with Ambassador at Large of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Sergey Gubarev and Deputy Director of the Second Department of the CIS countries at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Vitaly Tryapitsyn.
The main topic of the meeting is a visit to Moldova and Pridnestrovie scheduled for July 12 by co-mediators and observers in the negotiation process. The interlocutors expressed confidence that the organization of discussions in the “3 + 2” format (Russia, OSCE, Ukraine being mediators, the US and the EU being observers) will make an important contribution to enhancing the dialogue of the parties and will contribute to the realization of the whole range of agreements reached in the socio-economic and humanitarian sphere.
The meeting participants expressed the need to arrange a session of the “Permanent Meeting ...” in the “5 + 2” format (Russia, Ukraine and the OSCE being mediators, the EU and the USA - observers, Moldova and Pridnestrovie - parties to the conflict) in September of this year.
Diplomats also discussed topical issues of the development of Russian-Pridnestrovian interaction. The press service of the Pridnestrovian Foreign Ministry reports that the interlocutors paid particular attention to the functioning of the trilateral peacekeeping operation under the auspices of the Russian Federation, stressing its consistently high efficiency.
