Tiraspol, January, 10. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. At this year’s first meeting of peacekeeping operation governing body, the parties haven`t been being able to approve the current agenda for a long time. The Moldovan delegation insisted on considering the question of the activities of the peacekeeping forces in the event of a possible complication of the situation. Representatives of the PMR and the Russian Federation, in turn, emphasized that there are no prerequisites for including this topic on the agenda, especially as the instructions are available in the working documents of the JCC and the JMC.

After the meeting opening, reports on the situation in the Security Zone for the last 3 weeks were reviewed. The military stated: the New Year holidays passed quietly, there are no signs of a complicated situation.

A plan was also adopted for the main organizational activities of the Joint Peacekeeping Forces. According to Oleg Belyakov, co-chairperson of the JCC from Pridnestrovie, this document is of particular importance.

“It is this document that emphasizes that the peacekeeping operation is ongoing, and all peacekeepers stand united to continue to fulfill their duties to safeguard peace” - the co-chairman said.

Oleg Belyakov expressed his concern about the messages of certain members of the Moldovan delegation, who expressed the idea that the peacekeeping operation is only convenient for Pridnestrovian side.

"These words cannot fail to arouse concern, since it is the peacekeeping operation that provides peace on this territory" - he added.

The next JCC meeting is scheduled for January 17.
