Tiraspol, December, 7. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The President of PMR, Vadim Krasnoselski, signed the law “On Stimulating Entrepreneurial Activity in Certain Territories of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic”. The document is published on the official website of the head of state.
According to the law, in areas with lagging entrepreneurial activity, the patent fee will be reduced by 70 per cent for the individual entrepreneurs, and a 50 per cent discount on income tax will be provided for the legal entities. Benefits are also provided for the rental of state or municipal property. Entrepreneurs will be able to count on legal, informational, methodological and organizational support from local authorities.
Such programs can be approved for the period of 10 years, with the possibility of extension to 5 years in the event that the state support does not bring significant effect.
The main goal of the new regulatory document, as explained to Novosti Pridnestrovya in the parliamentary committee for the development of entrepreneurship and industry, is to improve the infrastructure in those areas where there is a shortage of food stores and pharmacies. The preferences stipulated in the law should contribute to the growth of the attractiveness of these territories for economic agents.
According to the transitional provisions defined by law, the Government will develop a procedure for classifying individual territories of Pridnestrovie to territories with lagging entrepreneurial activity by March 31, 2019. In turn, the state administrations of cities and regions will develop registers of such territories by June 30, 2019.
