The Moldovan side is not ready to settle relations with Pridnestrovie

Vitaliy Ignatyev commented on the situation in the negotiation process

Tiraspol, October 18. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The Moldovan side is not ready to settle the conflict with Pridnestrovie, and this is a problem not only for Pridnestrovie, but also for the European Union. This opinion was expressed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the PMR Vitaly Ignatyev in an interview with the Russian news agency Baltnews.

"On May 17 of this year, I put forward the initiative of Pridnestrovie to sign a Declaration of Commitment to Peaceful Approaches to the Settlement. If we, as political representatives of Pridnestrovie and Moldova, signed it, it would be a good response to the existing challenges. This would largely calm the population, since we are witnessing the militarization of Moldova. But even this very clear, specific proposal, which does not hide a double bottom, the Moldovan side rejected,” the head of the PMR MFA said.

According to Vitaly Ignatiev, the Moldovan side studied the Pridnestrovian proposal for 40 days, but in the end it was not ready even for such a diplomatic step, which would add stability to the regional space.
