Tiraspol, 5 March. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The international forum "Together with Russia" is taking place in Moscow from 4 to 5 March. The forum is organised by Russkiy Mir Foundation. The heads of the federal lgislative and executive bodies, famous politicians, representatives of Russian and foreign public organizations, mass media, scientists, jurists, clergymen are participating in its work.
Pridnestrovie is represented by President Vadim Krasnoselsky, Chairman of the Supreme Council Alexander Shcherba, his deputy Galina Antyufeeva, heads of parliamentary committees Viktor Guzun and Alexander Korshunov, Chairman of the Youth Parliament Alexander Savich, local councilors, the Supreme Council's press service reports.
As reported on the website of Russkiy Mir Foundation,"the main goal is to discuss the most important topics for Russian citizens living abroad and Russian diasporas' representatives, and generating proposals on their active engagement into social and political life of Russia, in particular, participation in coming Russian presidential election."
"Russia has always supported its compatriots, took care of their strong connection with the motherland. It's a fundamental question of the government policy. But today is important to know what our compatriots can do to support Russia: to become ambassadors of the Russian world ideas, strive for preservation of historical memory, support the truthful information about Russia and role of our nation in fighting against Nazism in all its manifestations, counteract falsification of history, participate in Immortal Regiment activities, etc," says the foundation's address.
On 4 March, the participants watched the film "Going Vertical", which had already become famous, and met its creators and the basketball players who played in the legendary match.
On the same day, the defence ministry presented its project "People's Memory". Its task is to provide an opportunity for users to obtain the most complete information about combat units and operations. As Major General Valery Kudinsky, project presenter, noted, the project's goal is to restore forgotten fates and names, to provide open access to all documents of the defence ministry, which may be important for each family.
According to Vyacheslav Nikonov, chairman of the board of Russky Mir Foundation, he first saw documents about his father's awards right during that meeting.
Today, on 5 March, the grand opening of the international forum "Together with Russia" was held. Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Education and Science Vyacheslav Nikonov, President of the Russian Academy of Education and Chairwoman of the Trusteeship Council of Russkiy Mir Foundation Lyudmila Verbitskaya, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov welcomed the forum's guests.
Members of the Pridnestrovian delegation will participate in the podium discussion on "Democracy in Russia and Russian voters abroad." Vadim Krasnoselsky will make a report on the topic "Pridnestrovie is an integral part of the Russian world: current situation and prospects for development", the presidential press service reports.
