Tiraspol, 4 December. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. A large business forum, organised by the non-government organisation Business Russia, will start work in Moscow tomorrow, 5 December. The forum will be attended by a Pridnestrovian delegation headed by prime minister Alexander Martynov. Its main topic will be the development of business cooperation between the two countries.
"We believe that a business forum like this will lead to strong commercial ties and will create opportunities and potential for developing the sales of our enterprises, and thus increasing their economic resilience and obtaining higher profits," said the minister of economic development, Sergey Obolonik.
The forum will last two days. In addition to meetings and round tables, participants will visit a number of industrial facilities in the Moscow Oblast.
Russia will be represented at the forum by the Agency of Strategic Initiatives, economic development ministry, transnational corporations, Russian railway, etc. Pridnestrovie, in turn, will be represented by its industrial flagships: KVINT, Tirotex, Kamenka Canning Factory, Intercentre Lux and others.
"We expect that several of our customers will take part in the forum: Gazprom, Rosneft, Lukoil, Rosatom. We are supplying our electrical equipment to many of them today," noted Elektromash deputy CEO Natalya Soldatova.
A great deal of work has been done to establish contacts and build bridges with Russia's business community ahead of the forum. In early September, representatives of Business Russia visited Tiraspol. In the course of negotiations back then, an agreement was reached to delegate a Pridnestrovian representative to Business Russia and to organise a response visit.
According to experts, the dialogue in such a format will address a whole range of issues, such as attracting investment to the country. The two-day format will culminate in signing a cooperation memorandum.
