Tiraspol, 16 October. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Alexander Martynov's report on Pridnestrovie's socio-economic and political situation, which he made during a seminar held at the public and municipal administration department of Lomonosov Moscow State University, was highly professional. This was said by the head of the department, Russian academician Sergey Glazyev.
The prime minister's report focused on the activities of the Pridnestrovian government, including the reforms, and reflections on the pressing problems and their potential solutions.
"The report was highly assessed. Almost all the measures that the Pridnestrovian government is taking today have a scientific basis. They were examined by our scientific community, and we outlined a number of areas on which it would be useful to focus to achieve a significant increase in the level of economic development, production volume, production of goods and, of course, an increase in investment activity and income level in the PMR. So, I hope this seminar will be of mutual benefit," underscored Glazyev.
According to him, the results achieved in less than a year of consistent work to improve efficiency in public administration and enterprise management suggest that the first steps have been made in the right direction and may have a serious economic effect.
"In particular, we noted with great enthusiasm that the management of the state revenue base had improved, so had the management of enterprises under government. A consistent policy to return capital to the country, to improve the transparency of the state property and asset management system encourages investment flows and enables businesses to act more confidently, which is very important in this challenging situation faced by the Pridnestrovian economy," said Glazyev.
"I think that the pace of the Pridnestrovian economy we see today is only the beginning of our journey that should make Pridnestrovie an attractive place to live and a centre of attraction for investment," added Glazyev.
He expressed confidence that Russia would further back Pridnestrovie as there were many Russia citizens living in Pridnestrovie. "We'd like their living conditions in the PMR to be comfortable so that they feel confident, work well, make their families prosperous and develop the Pridnestrovian economy," he concluded.
