Tiraspol, 11 September. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. As part of a working visit to Moscow, the Pridnestrovian foreign minister, Vitaly Ignatyev, held a meeting with Russia's MFA ambassador at large Sergey Gubarev. The meeting was also attended by the director of the Second CIS Department of the Russian MFA, Vitaly Tryapitsyn.
The parties exchanged views on a wide range of issues related to the situation in the negotiating process between Pridnestrovie and Moldova, the press service of Pridnestrovie's MFA reports. Particular attention was paid to some results of the recent meetings of the chief negotiators, as well as the visit to Pridnestrovie of the special representative of the OSCE chairman-in-office, Wolf Dietrich Heim.
The meeting participants expressed the need for rhythmic work at all levels of the negotiating process, including the «Permanent meeting…», emphasising the inadmissibility of any kind of preconditions.
They expressed the hope that during the remaining period of its OSCE chairmanship Austria would find a way to review the current erroneous approaches to the negotiating process, which has not brought any significant results in nine months in terms of intensifying dialogue at all levels and seeking solutions to pressing issues of concern. The participants agreed that this kind of stalemate in the negotiating process is unacceptable.
The diplomats also discussed a wide range of issues of Russian-Pridnestrovian bilateral cooperation.
At the end of the meeting, the parties reaffirmed their willingness to maintain permanent working communication on the full range of relevant areas of cooperation.
