The Ministry of Foreign Affairs was the host of a meeting between the deputy foreign minister, Alexander Stetsyuk, and a delegation of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, led by the OHCHR National Coordinator in Moldova, Veaceslav Bala, the MFA's press service reports.
Welcoming the guests, Alexander Stetsyuk noted that close and practical cooperation had been established between Pridnestrovie and UN agencies. «This allows us to address a wide range of issues in various areas, in particular, in the spheres of healthcare, human rights, infrastructure projects. We are trying to maintain a sufficiently close interaction with all UN agencies that are interested in Pridnestrovie and are ready to continue our dialogue," underscored the diplomat.
The interlocutors discussed in detail the parameters of project implementation in the context of bilateral cooperation in the sphere of protecting the rights of people with disabilities.
At the end of the meeting, the sides agreed to maintain contact on issues of mutual interest.
