Tiraspol, August 7. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Peacekeeping operation in Pridnestrovie showing its validity throughout 25 years continues deterring aggressive plans of some politicians from neighboring states today. This fact irritates many actors, and for that reason Moldova tries to vilify the peacekeeping operation on the Dniester in different ways today, to replace it with a certain international civilian mission. But Pridnestrovians don't doubt about the format of the current peacekeeping operation, the Prime Minister Alexander Martynov emphasized during the press conference dedicated to the results of the working trip to Moscow.
«We are sure that the peacekeeping operation has to be continued. It is very effective when, besides the Russian Federation, the sides of the conflict also participate in the peacekeeping operation. We don't see any reasons to revise principles of the peacekeeping operation and we advise not to look for them to everybody else," the head of the government said.
During the press conference, the journalists also asked whether an issue concerning the mitigation of installation of the joint Moldo-Ukrainian customs stations had been raised during the working trip to the Russian Federation. According to Martynov, it was one of the main topics raised during his visit to Moscow.
«Pridnestrovie and the Russian Federation consider that it is necessary to discuss a problem within the negotiations, for example, on the 5+2 format platform where Pridnestrovie being a side of the negotiation process, can provide own arguments and vision of the situation, indicate risks. Today, both Russia and Pridnestrovie do everything to resume the dialogue, and the quicker the negotiation pace will be, the less unfavorable will be an effect from installation of the stations," the PM emphasized.
