Tiraspol, April 6. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The head of the melioration department of the Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources, Viktor Zabutyrin, informed the minister, Efimiy Koval, about the completion of the draft programme «Melioration development in the PMR in 2017−2021», which is to be implemented through Russian investments.
It was noted during the technical meeting that the project would be implemented in two phases. As we have informed, Russia is going to invest 8.9 billion Russian roubles in the development of melioration in Pridnestrovie.
The minister was also briefed about the list of irrigation and hydraulic facilities to be reconstructed, the agricultural ministry's press service reports.
At the first stage, specialists will be able to ensure the irrigation of farmland with a total area of 67,601 hectares.
The draft programme «Melioration development in the PMR in 2017−2021» has been submitted to the president's administration and the Pridnestrovian government for consideration and to Russia's agricultural ministry for approval.
